A true home from home

Hi, our names are Manda and Paul. We have previously raised our Cocker Spaniels from puppies who have been cherished members of our family. It was equally rewarding to have our mature King Charles, rescued from a local shelter. Whilst our own dogs passed on over the years, we made the decision to begin dog boarding. We are here to offer your dog a home from home whilst you take a break.

Manda is a homemaker who will be with your dog/s full time. She will be their companion through their stay. She is qualified in iPET Network Level 2 in Canine Care, Health and Behaviour.

Paul works full time in Public Service and is currently studying part time at Rodbaston College, Stafford in Dog Grooming. He also volunteers at a large licensed kennel/groomers also in the Stafford area.

We live in our own semi-detached house with a gated and secure rear garden. Our home is non-smoking and has no other pets or children. Just a calm environment in a peaceful neighbourhood.

Here at The Dog Retreat, we are local authority licensed to offer dog boarding for up to 2 dogs. We decided to accept only dog/s from the same household at any one time. Therefore, if your dog reacts or would struggle being in close proximity to other dogs or just like their home comforts, we will be the ideal choice.
